Keri Picolla is a Los Angeles based photographer, writer, director, make-up artist, and hula dancer.  Keri's career in the visual arts began as a make-up artist, working professionally for eight years in film, television, music videos and commercials.  Finding her niche in special make-up effects, tattoo art and creature design led her to expand her talents into directing, writing and editing films.

Keri graduated from California State University at Northridge with a Cinema and Television Arts degree and received photography training through the Commercial Photography program at Santa Monica College. She is currently pursuing a Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing through the University of California at Riverside in their Low-Residency Program based out of Palm Desert.

My approach to photography is simple. I strive to capture moments, a still in time. I strive to see the beauty in the details. I utilize a variety of tools in my arsenal and although I shoot digitally in most of my work, I also love to shoot film. I have a variety of 35mm and medium format cameras ranging in styles and glass. Shooting analog is one of my passions and I love to utilize analog in most of shoots.
